About us
Meet the team
One of us has met Kylie, one of us has his own youtube video blog channel, one of us has never seen snow. But all of us love being part of our couple's Wedding day, capturing their story and creating a timeless keepsake that they will cherish forever.

Michael
Michael is the chief driver and multi-award winner behind Inception Video. He graduated from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in media studies. In 2001, Michael helped start Phenomenon Video which he later purchased and relaunched in 2010 as Inception Video.
“I love finding out what makes the Wedding Day unique to each of our couples. What is their story? What does the day mean to them?” Michael has filmed over 500 weddings in almost 15 years and his passion is still growing. “The real challenge is to capture beautiful moments without making the day feel like a wedding movie – the best compliment we can get is when a couple says “Thanks for being a big part of their day but we forgot you were there”.
Likes: Life – Travelling, filming and learning. Avid Perth Glory supporter who loves his kids, his cats, his blue heeler and relaxing in the park with his partner, Clair.

David
Filmmaker, editor & video blogger.
David is a passionate film maker and artist who loves telling stories. He studied Film as well as English & Creative Writing at Murdoch University. He has been working for Inception video since 2014 and does his own freelance filmmaking on the side. He is rarely seen without a camera and even once nearly headed to the airport for a holiday having remembered to bring his camera, but forgetting his clothes. One day scientists will learn how to surgically attach cameras to hands and his final form will be complete.
"Weddings are great fun because each one is different. Everyone brings something to the weddings from the bride and groom, to the close family and guests. You meet so many interesting people – all ready to have a good time and create such a nice atmosphere."
Likes: watching films, buying more and more books to add to the never ending pile that takes up half his room, and Pokemon.
Aaron
Filmmaker, editor & nice guy.
An extremely talented filmmaker, wedding videographer and editor who never stops smiling, Aaron’s background in film and video production makes him an invaluable asset to the team. He studied multimedia and animation at TAFE, and his attraction to film took him to the Film and Television Institute and Edith Cowan University where he won several awards for his work.
Aaron has been filming Weddings with Inception Video for five years now and he absolutely loves it. “It’s great having the opportunity to be part of our couples’ big day and being part of the fun of the day” Aaron loves the social aspect of filming weddings “I love the fact I can bump into our past couples at the shops, at a bar or at another Wedding and it’s like catching up with an old friend”.
Likes: Indoor soccer, and film and TV, including comedies in any form. Sometimes he also escapes into video games.
